We, the Foundation for the Philippine Environment and 109 individuals from 63 civil society organizations, indigenous people’s organizations, and academic institutions, recognize the urgent need for national and local governments, business, civil society, academe, and all other sectors, to make a concerted, purposive, and sustained response to the climate emergency that we all face.

The Foundation for the Philippine Environment (FPE), through its Visayas Regional Operations (VRO), is calling all interested civil society organisations (CSOs) to submit proposals requiring grants of up to Three Million Pesos (PHP3,000,000) to implement projects on biodiversity conservation & sustainable development (BCSD) in priority conservation sites in the Visayas.

The Visayas Regional Operations (VRO) conducted an online conversation or kumustahay with its Visayas Regional Advisory Committee (VRAC) members last July 24, 2020 to determine the impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic to biodiversity conservation and sustainable development (BCSD), especially in relation to the work of civil society organizations (CSOs). As BCSD front-liners, the VRAC members from regions 6, 7 and 8 shared challenges and response strategies on the ground.
