Cross-Cutting Criteria
These criteria are essential for assessing the overall impact and effectiveness
of FPE- funded projects. By evaluating these projects against these benchmarks,
stakeholders can gain valuable insights into their success and areas for improvement.
Alignment with FPE's Philosophy
The proposed project must contribute to the attainment of FPE's vision, mission, and goals; adhere to the Foundation's core values; and align with any of the thematic pathways. The target outcomes should have long-term impacts beneficial for both the people and the environment.
Promotion of Constituency-Building for Conservation
The proposed project should be designed to motivate, capacitate, and empower stakeholders to champion and take concrete actions for biodiversity conservation and environmental protection.
Replicability and Scalability
The proposed project should have the potential to become model biodiversity conservation actions/practices that can be replicated in other areas and can be scaled up or expanded.
Impact Generation
The proposed project should manifest potentials to generate positive and long-term impacts on biodiversity, the environment, and the community. Projects must be designed to provide holistic solutions to address the root cause of identified ecological issues or problems.
Nurturing Innovation
The proposed project must provide innovative approaches and new ways of solving environmental challenges. This criterion encourages proponents to adopt innovative solutions through rigorous research, policy and regulatory design, and multi- stakeholder collaboration. Introducing innovative approaches will empower both the proponent and the FPE to explore new opportunities and address challenges to effectively catalyze positive environmental changes.
