FPE’s Grants’ Online Application System Reactivated, Now Accepts New Proposals Online

Posted on July 3, 2017

The Foundation for the Philippine Environment’s grants online-management information system (GO-MIS) has been updated and now accepts online applications from its conservation partners.

Piloted in October 2014, the FPE GO-MIS has updated its pages for a better service. These changes include additional information on its Organizational Registry Form and Project Application & Management Form, which allow FPE to screen organizations and proposals submitted.

Similar to the traditional system of application, the GO-MIS retains the types, focus, and strategies of its grants program in this online version.

It accepts proposals that focuses on the following conservation challenges: mining, logging, unsustainable agriculture and fisheries, renewable energy, solid waste and air pollution, climate change and disaster risks, and urbanization and land conversion.

Project proposals may fall under these categories:

  1. Constituency-building projects that build capabilities of partners on biodiversity conservation and sustainable development (BCSD),
  2. Advocacy projects that support the advocacy initiatives of NGOs and POs on BCSD, establish coalitions and calls for urgent actions on BCSD issues and priorities,
  3. Research projects that generate evidence-based information needed to support and influence decision-making and actions on BCSD,
  4. Environmental defense projects that help mobilize citizen’s participation in paralegal action, in pursuing legal cases against those who degrade the environment, and in advancing policy reforms on environmental protection and conservation, and
  5. Sites projects that help restore important biodiversity sites around the country using integrated area development and conservation plans.

The GO-MIS system caters to small (up to Php200,000), medium (up to Php 800,000) and large (up to Php2,000,000) projects.
