FPE Welcomes New Chair and CEO, BoT members
Posted on October 23, 2018FPE congratulates Dr. Renato Boniao as its new Chairperson and CEO. Dr. Boniao is an FPE trustee since 2016. He is the Director for Extension Division of Mindanao State University - Naawan campus, and former Dean of the College of Agriculture and Forestry in the same university. Dr. Boniao holds a PhD is Soil Science from Ghent University.
FPE also welcomes four new Board members, namely:
Dr. Jonathan Moses Jadloc as Visayas Representative. Dr. Jadloc is the President and CEO of Havilah Polymedic of Sogod, Southern, Leyte; Board of Directors and Medical Director of Allied Care Experts (ACE) Medical Center, Tacloban City; Member of the Philippine Medical Association (PMA); Member of the Institute for Studies in Diabetes Foundation, Inc. (ISDFI) Alumni Association; and Founder of The Green Circle, a people’s organization for conservation and sustainability.
Ms. Jacqueline Bernadette Kintanar Cariño as Luzon Representative. Ms. Cariño is the Convenor and Executive Director of the Philippine Task Force for Indigenous Peoples Right (TFIP); Convenor and Executive Director of the Cordillera Peoples Alliance (CPA); Board Member of the Cordillera Disaster Response and Development Services (CorDIS RDS); Board Member of the Sibol ng Agham at Teknolohiya (SIBAT); Executive Council Member of Asia Indigenous Peoples Pact (AIPP); Coordinator of Asia Indigenous Peoples Network on Extractives and Energy (AIPNEE); and Board Member of Asia Young Indigenous Peoples Network (AYIPN).
Dr. Angela Nina Ann Rivera Ingle as Mindanao Representative. Dr. Ingle is the President of Wildlife Conservation Society of the Philippines; Member of the Steering Committee of Southeast Asia Bat Conservation and Research Unit (SEABCRU); President of Ingle Trust Foundation of Davao; and Consultant and Philippines Liaison of Bat Conservation International.
Mr. Warren Joseph Dollente as Member at Large. Mr. Dollente is the Director of Lasallian Institute for the Environment of De La Salle University; National Coordinator of Justice and Peace Commission of La Salle Provincialate; and National Coordinator of De La Salle Philippines Environmental Programs like “One Million Trees and Beyond Project”, “National Eco-Camp (Basic Education and Tertiary Level)”, “Project Carbon Neutral”, and “Green Schools Project”.

The new Board Members will join incumbent Trustees – Fr. John Christian Young (President of Fr. Saturnino Urios University), Mr. Ramon Peñalosa (Chairman of Negros Organic Producers and Retailers Association (ONOPRA), Mr. Arthur Estrella (Director of Research at the Central Bicol State University of Agriculture), Dr. Jurgenne Primavera (Chief Scientific Mangrove Advisor for the Zoologic Society of London in the Philippines), and Ms. Beverly Longid (Coordinator of the International Indigenous Peoples Movement for Self-Determination and Liberation (IPMSDL).
FPE also salutes four outgoing BoT members – Dr. Lourdes Simpol (outgoing Chair and CEO); Wilhelmina Gonzales (FPE Visayas Representative and former BoT Treasurer); Fr. Ian Trillanes (Luzon Representative and former BoT Secretary); and Engr. Pipalawan Naga (Mindanao representative).
The turnover ceremony was held last October 12, 2018 at Verjandel Hotel, Quezon City.
The members of the FPE Board of Trustees have four-year terms, while its Chair and CEO, who is elected by fellow BoT members, serves for two years.
