Project Goals and Objectives

The project seeks to train or re-train some 15 trainers from Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao on the improved manual for MedNet's Basic EDRMP training. The following key results are aimed: finalization of the aforementioned manual, and conduct of a five-day training of trainers using the aforementioned manual.

Outputs and Outcomes

A training manual entitled "Training Course on Community Mediation" (with seven modules: conflict mapping, effective communication, interest-based negotiation, pre-mediation, mediation, healing and reconciliation, and dispute system design) was used to train 15 MedNet members. Recommendations on the training were gathered during the event and were considered to come up with the final output of the project, the MedNet Training Manual on Empowering Dispute Resolution and Management Processes.
