Post conference activities aim to: (a) bring 20 IP community representatives from Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao and lobby to relevant government agencies and policy makers the IP agenda crafted at the SIPA 2011; (b) provide additional capacities/skills to community leaders in doing lobby-work, media campaigns, and networking; and (c) set dialogues with legislators in the Senate and Congress

Outputs and Outcomes

accomplishments: delegates proposed recommendations for policies affecting indigenous peoples; workshops to discuss pertinent issues and for capacity building (topics include: social enterprising and community development, sustainable agriculture, violence against women and children, the Minerals Management Bill, and climate justice) were held; SIPA, a document which describes the current situation of indigenous people, was issued; drafted? a resolution in support of the banning of open-pit mining by the provincial government of South Cotabato; conducted executive and legislative lobbying and appeared/published in various media //findings?: PNoy government has no clear and concrete agenda for indigenous peoples; flagship program of the PNoy government on PPP or Private and Public Partnership paved way to more contracts, concessionaires, and tenements of multinational corporations that encroach the peoples' survival; not all IPs are benefited by the Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program (4Ps) because the basis for identifying beneficiaries is the NSO records and the process is facilitated by Local Government Unit personnel
