Project Goals and Objectives

The overall objective of the training is to increase the capacities of forty (40) community-leaders and their support groups in terms of resource valuation of the biodiversity and/or ecological services of their areas. Specifically, the training hopes to 1. increase the knowledge of participants on the impacts of large-scale mining on their biodiversity and immediate environment; 2. increase the knowledge of the participants on the concepts and principles of resource valuation; and 3. introduce the various tools and methodologies in employing resource valuation.

Outputs and Outcomes

Accomplishments: 30 participants attended the training ; maps were produced.
