Project Goals and Objectives

1. To articulate an Integral Community-Centered Ecosystems-Based Management System for Sustainable Development, heeding the social and ecological diversity of the country and its people; 2. To present a protocol for installing and operationalizing the system; 3. To determine local starting points for integrating the protocol into on-going development programs using the appropriate unit of management and utilizing the existing local socio-ecological institutions; 4. To develop and integrate these on-going programs under the rubric of the Cosmic Anthropology discipline of ASI

Outputs and Outcomes

The workshops resulted in an organic motivation and mobilization of the local stakeholders in pursuing symbiotic linkages between local societies. The workshops were also conduits for inter-sectoral dialogue on local concerns. Local ECSOM proposal from Aurora gained provincial support from its governor, whereas that of Zamboanga was granted an institutional support from a university. Three local ECSOM trans-sectoral groups that are ready for a pre-feasibility study resulted from the workshops.
