The project provided a venue for CADT holders and community leaders to be updated on emerging local and national issues relevant o their future. During the AD Summit, participants discussed policies related to Indigenous Community Conservation Areas. Climate Change/REDD Plus. CADT Eco-Tourism Landscape, Alternative Livelihood Development, and EO 23, among others. Local and national issues discussed were mining, road widening, incursion/poaching, and ancestral land alineation. A strategic plan was prepared focusing on capacity building; paralegal training for IP leaders; organization and planning of the Ancestral Domain Development Council; alternative livelihood development; and a project development workshop.
