Project Goals and Objectives

Capacitate the local/ indigenous peoples in the uplands to efficiently and effectively respond to the threats of grass and forest fires in the six target communities, as follows: Mt. Apo, Brgy. Sibulan, Toril, Davao City; Mt. Macabol, Brgy. Salaysay, Davao City; Mt. Hamiguitan, Brgy. Tiblawan, Governor Generoso; Mt. Kitanglad, Brgy. Dalwangan, Malaybalay, Bukidnon; Mt. Matutum, Brgy. Kinilis, Polomolok, South Cotabato; Mt. Tago, Brgy. Gulang-gulang, Manolo Fortich

Outputs and Outcomes

Objective 1: Develop a Manual on Community-based Forest/Grass Fire Management, Objective 2: Training and engagement of at most 120 volunteer community fire fighters from six upland communities including forest guards of Panigan-Tamugan Watershed, Help install a support network for the volunteer forest fighters from each of the six communities
